Once upon a time, there was a very strong man named Samson. God gave Samson a special gift—great strength! His muscles were like big trees, and he could do amazing things no one else could do. But his strength came from one secret: his long hair. Samson never cut his hair because God told him it was the source of his power.
Samson loved a woman named Delilah. She was very pretty, with eyes that sparkled like stars. But some people who didn’t like Samson wanted to find out his secret. They asked Delilah to learn how Samson stayed so strong. Delilah wanted to know too, so she could be close to Samson and understand him better.
One day, Delilah asked Samson, “Tell me your secret. How are you so strong?” Samson smiled and said, “If my hair is cut, I will lose my strength.” But Delilah didn’t believe him at first. She thought maybe he was just teasing her. So Samson told her a little trick to see if she was really curious.
Delilah waited until Samson was sleeping on her lap. She gently took a sharp knife and cut his long hair. When Samson woke up, he felt different. He tried to push a big door, but he was too weak! The secret was gone because his hair was cut.
Delilah felt sad when she saw Samson was weak. She loved him but didn’t want to hurt him. Samson asked, “Why did you do this to me?” Delilah said, “I was tricked by the men who wanted your secret.” Samson felt very sad too. He knew he had to trust God again and ask for help.
Even though Samson was weak, God still loved him very much. Samson prayed to God for strength one more time. God heard his prayer and gave him power again. Samson was strong like a mighty lion! He used his strength to help God’s people and show that God is always with us.
Samson’s story teaches us that God’s power is special and should be trusted. Sometimes, people may try to trick us, but God’s love is bigger than all problems. When we trust God, He helps us be strong inside and outside.

6 So the lords of the Philistines brought to her seven fresh bowstrings that had not been dried, and she bound him with them.
7 Now she was waiting to see him become weak, and to have him be bound; and the lords of the Philistines were standing by. But Samson snapped the bowstrings, as if they were threads of flax, when he was fresh, and his strength was not gone.
8 Then Delilah said to Samson, “Look! You have mocked me, and told me lies. Please tell me how you can be bound.”
9 He said to her, “If you weave the seven locks of my head with the web, and fasten it with the pin, then I will become weak, and be like any other man.”
10 So while he was sleeping, Delilah
