Once upon a time, there was something very special about God. People wanted to understand Him better. They knew God was one, but they also learned He is three at the same time! This is called the Trinity.
The Trinity means God is one God, but He shows Himself in three ways. There is God the Father, who made the whole world. He is like a loving parent who cares for everything. Imagine the warm sun shining and making flowers grow—that is like God the Father’s love.
Then, there is God the Son. His name is Jesus. Jesus came to earth to show us how much God loves us. He was kind, helped people, and even died on the cross to save us. But Jesus didn’t stay dead! He came back to life! Jesus is like a bright light that never goes out, always shining for us.
The third part is God the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is like a gentle wind we cannot see, but we can feel. The Spirit helps us inside our hearts. When we feel scared or sad, the Holy Spirit gives us courage and peace. It’s like a soft hug from God that makes us feel safe.
Even though God is three, He is still one God. It’s like water. Water can be ice, liquid, or steam, but it is still water. God is one God in three persons. Isn’t that amazing?
One day, Jesus told His friends, “Go and make followers of all people. Baptize them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” This means we remember all three parts of God because they work together in love.
When we pray, we can talk to God the Father, thank Jesus the Son, and ask the Holy Spirit to help us. God loves us so much that He shows Himself in three ways to be close to us always.
Sometimes, it’s hard to understand the Trinity because it is a big, wonderful mystery. But we can trust God because He loves us and wants to be our friend forever.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that God is always with us? Like the sun, the light, and the wind, God is near, helping and loving us every day.
