Once upon a time, in a small town called Nazareth, there lived a young woman named Mary. Mary was kind and gentle, and she loved God with all her heart. One day, something very special happened to her. An angel came to visit her! The angel’s name was Gabriel, and he had a bright, shining face like the sun.
“Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel said softly. “God is very happy with you. You will have a baby boy, and you will call him Jesus.” Mary was surprised and a little scared. She wondered, “How can this be? I am not married yet!” But the angel told her that God’s power would make this happen.
Mary trusted God and said, “I am the Lord’s servant. Let everything happen just as you said.” Her heart was full of joy because she knew God was doing something wonderful. Soon, Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth, who was also expecting a baby.
When Mary arrived, Elizabeth smiled and said, “You are so blessed! The baby inside me jumped for joy when you came!” Mary felt happy and sang a beautiful song to God. Her song was full of love and praise. She thanked God for choosing her and for being so kind to everyone.
Mary sang, “My soul praises the Lord. My spirit is happy because God is my Savior.” She knew God was strong and powerful. Mary said that God helps the weak and lifts up the humble. She said God remembers His promises to His people forever.
Mary’s song was like a bright light shining in the dark night. It showed how much she trusted God’s love and care. Even though she was young and had many questions, she believed God’s plan was the best. Her song reminds us that God is always with us and that He loves us very much.
Can you imagine how Mary’s heart felt? It was full of hope and happiness! She knew God was doing something new and beautiful in the world. And that little baby, Jesus, would bring joy and peace to everyone.
When you feel unsure or scared, you can remember Mary’s song. You can trust God, just like Mary did. God is always ready to help us and fill our hearts with joy. Isn’t that wonderful?

Bible passage
Luke 1:46-55 (World English Bible)
46 Mary said,
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
47 and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
48 Because he has looked on the humble state of his servant;
surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed.
49 Because the Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
50 His mercy is on those who fear him
from generation to generation.
51 He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
52 He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
and has exalted the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things;
and the rich he has sent away empty.
54 He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy,
55 As he spoke to our fathers,
to Abraham and to his seed forever.”
