One day, Jesus was walking down a dusty road. The sun was shining bright, and the birds sang sweet songs in the trees. People were following Jesus because they loved to hear His kind words and see His wonderful miracles.
As Jesus walked, He saw a man sitting by the road. This man could not see at all. He was blind! The man’s eyes could not see the beautiful world around him—no green trees, no colorful flowers, no smiling faces. The man felt very lonely and sad.
The blind man heard that Jesus was near. His heart was full of hope. He called out loudly, “Jesus, Son of David, please help me!” His voice was shaky but full of faith.
Some people told the man to be quiet. They said, “Be quiet! Don’t bother Jesus!” But the blind man shouted even louder, “Please help me!” Because he believed Jesus could heal him.
Jesus stopped and looked at the man. His eyes were full of love and kindness. Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man answered, “Lord, I want to see.” His voice was soft and full of hope.
Jesus smiled gently. He touched the man’s eyes and said, “Go, your faith has made you well.” Then something amazing happened!
Slowly, the man opened his eyes. At first, he saw shadows and shapes. Then, the bright colors of the world came alive! He saw the blue sky, the green grass, and the happy faces of the people around him.
The man was so happy! Tears of joy ran down his cheeks. He jumped up and shouted, “I can see! I can see!” Everyone who watched was amazed and praised God.
The man followed Jesus, thanking Him with all his heart. Jesus showed that God’s love is powerful and can bring light even to the darkest places.
Have you ever felt sad or scared? Jesus wants to help you too. He loves you very much and can make everything better, just like He did for the blind man.

Message of the story
God loves us very much and can help us when we are in trouble. Jesus shows us His great power and kindness by healing and caring for us.

1 As Jesus was walking, he saw a man who had been blind from birth.
2 His disciples asked him, “Teacher, whose sin caused this man to be born blind? Was it his, or his parents’ sin?”
3 Jesus answered, “It was not because of his sin or his parents’ sin. This happened so God’s power could be seen in him.
4 While there is still daylight, we must do the work of the one who sent me. Night is coming when no one can work.
5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6 Then Jesus spit on the ground and made some mud with the spit. He put the mud on the man’s eyes.
7 Jesus said to him, “Go and wash in the pool of Siloam.” (Siloam means “Sent.”) So the man went and washed. Then he could see!
8 The neighbors and people who had seen the man begging asked, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”
