Once upon a time, long ago, the world was waiting for something very special. People looked up at the stars and hoped for a Savior—a special friend from God who would bring light and love to everyone. The night was dark like a big blanket, but their hearts dreamed of a bright star shining just for them.

One day, an angel came to a young woman named Mary. The angel’s voice was soft like a gentle breeze. “Do not be afraid, Mary,” the angel said. “God has chosen you to be the mother of His Son, Jesus.” Mary felt a little scared but also very happy. “How can this be?” she asked. The angel told her that God’s power would make it happen.

Mary trusted God’s promise. She knew that waiting for Jesus was like waiting for the sun to rise after a long night. She sang a happy song in her heart because she believed God’s love was coming to the world.

Far away, in a town called Bethlehem, Mary and her husband Joseph looked for a place to stay. The city was full of people who had come to be counted. It was busy and loud, but no one had room for them. Finally, they found a little stable where animals lived. It was quiet and cozy, like a soft blanket on a cold night.

That night, under the twinkling stars, Jesus was born. Mary wrapped Him in warm cloths and laid Him in a manger, a little box where animals eat. The light of the world had come! It was a tiny baby, but He was God’s gift to everyone.

Shepherds were watching their sheep in the fields. Suddenly, the sky lit up like fireworks! Angels sang, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those who please Him!” The shepherds were amazed and ran to see the baby Jesus. They felt joyful and full of wonder.

Jesus was the Savior God had promised. He came to bring love, hope, and peace to all people. Waiting for Jesus was worth it, because He is the bright light that never goes away.

When we wait for something good, like Jesus, we can be happy and trust God’s promises. Advent is the time when we remember how people waited for Jesus to come and how we can get ready to celebrate His love.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that God loves us so much that He sent His Son? We can tell others about Jesus and share His light, just like the stars in the sky.

  • Who did the angel visit to tell about Jesus?
  • Where was Jesus born?
  • How did the shepherds feel when they saw Jesus?
  • Why do we wait during Advent?
  • What does Jesus bring to the world?
