Long, long ago, in a land with warm sun and soft sand, there lived a man named Abram. Abram loved God very much. One day, God spoke to Abram with a voice as gentle as a breeze but strong like a mountain.
God said, “Abram, leave your home and go to a new land that I will show you.” Abram looked around. He did not know where to go. It was like standing in a big forest without a path. But Abram trusted God’s voice. He packed his bags, took his wife Sarai, and started walking.
The journey was long and sometimes hard. The sun was hot, and the nights were cold. But Abram’s heart was full of hope. He believed God’s promise was like a bright star shining in the dark sky.
One night, God said to Abram, “Look at the sky, Abram. Count the stars if you can.” Abram looked up. The stars twinkled like tiny diamonds. There were so many! God smiled and said, “Your children will be as many as these stars.”
Abram felt surprised and happy. “But I am very old,” he said. “And I don’t have any children.” God’s promise was big and wonderful. It was like planting a tiny seed that would grow into a huge tree.
God also said, “I will bless you. Your family will be a blessing to all the people on earth.” Abram felt warm inside, like the sun was hugging his heart. He knew God’s promise was true and kind.
Days turned into years. Abram and Sarai waited patiently. Sometimes they wondered, “When will God’s promise come true?” But they never stopped trusting God’s love.
God’s promise to Abram shows us that God always keeps His promises. Even if we have to wait, God’s plans are good and full of love.
Abram’s story teaches us to trust God, even when things seem hard or slow. God’s promises are like stars—bright, beautiful, and forever shining.

Bible passage
Genesis 12:1-7 (WEB)
1 The Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country, and from your kindred, and from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation. I will bless you, and make your name great. You will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you. Whoever curses you I will curse. In you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
4 Abram went, as the Lord had spoken to him. Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.
5 Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran. They went out to go to the land of Canaan. They came to the land of Canaan.
6 Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. The Canaanites were in the land then.
7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” So Abram built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
