Long ago, in a time when many people went to church, some began to feel confused. They wanted to love God with all their hearts, but something felt wrong. The church had many rules, and people thought they had to do special things to make God happy.
One man named Martin Luther loved God very much. He read the Bible every day like a treasure. One day, he found something very important in God’s Word. It said, “We are saved by faith, not by doing things.” This means God loves us because we believe in Him, not because we try to be perfect.
Martin wanted to tell everyone about this wonderful truth. He wrote 95 statements called the “95 Theses” and put them on a church door. It was like sending a big message in a bottle! The message said that God’s love is free and that we don’t have to pay or do special things to earn it.
Many people read Martin’s message and felt happy. Their hearts felt light, like a kite flying high in the blue sky. They asked, “Can it really be true that God loves me just because I trust Him?” Yes! God’s love is like sunshine that warms everyone, no matter what.
But some people did not like Martin’s message. They wanted to keep the old rules. Martin was brave and kept telling the truth because he knew God’s Word was like a bright light in a dark room. It showed the way to peace and joy.
Because of Martin’s courage, many people’s faith was restored. They learned that faith means trusting Jesus completely. It’s like holding a friend’s hand when you feel scared. Jesus is always with us, and He loves us forever.
On Reformation Day, we remember how faith was made strong again. We celebrate God’s wonderful gift of grace—that means God’s kindness we don’t deserve. It’s a happy day because God’s love shines bright like stars in the night sky!
When you feel unsure, remember Martin Luther’s story. God’s love is a gift you can hold in your heart. You don’t have to be perfect. Just believe in Jesus and feel His peace like a soft, warm blanket.
“Jesus loves you,” you can say. “I trust You!” And God smiles because He loves you very much.
