Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, people were waiting for a special king. They wanted a king who would be kind and strong. A king who would help everyone and make everything good again.
One day, Jesus came to the people. He did not wear a shiny crown or a fancy robe like kings do. Instead, He wore simple clothes and smiled with love. Jesus told them, “I am the King, but my kingdom is not like other kingdoms.”
Jesus said His kingdom is a kingdom of love and peace. He said, “My kingdom will never end. I will be your King forever.” The people were surprised. They asked, “How can you be a king if you don’t have a big castle?”
Jesus told them, “My kingdom is in your heart. I am King over everything, even the stars in the sky and the trees in the forest.” The sun shone warmly on their faces, and the birds sang like a happy song. It felt like Jesus’ kingdom was all around them.
One day, Jesus rode into a city on a little donkey. People waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is the King!” They were so happy to see Him. Jesus was gentle and kind, and He showed everyone how much God loves them.
But some people didn’t like Jesus being King. They wanted to stop Him. Jesus knew this would happen. Still, He never stopped loving people. He said, “I came to serve, not to be served.” Jesus was different from other kings because He cared for everyone, even those who were sad or sick.
Later, Jesus died on a cross. It was a very sad day. His friends felt scared and alone. But then, something amazing happened! Jesus came back to life! He was alive again! His friends were so happy they laughed and cried at the same time.
Jesus told them, “I am the King forever. No one can stop my love.” His kingdom is not made of gold or walls. It is made of love that never ends. Jesus is King in heaven and on earth, and He wants to be King in your heart too.
When you feel scared or lonely, you can remember Jesus is your King. He is always with you, loving you and keeping you safe. His kingdom is full of joy, peace, and hope, like a bright rainbow after the rain.
Jesus reigns forever! That means He is the King forever and ever. He will always love us and take care of us. And one day, everyone will see His kingdom shine like a beautiful, sparkling light that never goes away.
“Do you want Jesus to be your King?” you can ask. Jesus is waiting with open arms to be your forever friend and King.
